Past foreign teaching appointments - Adjunct Professor at the American University, Washington DC in 1985- 1986 in 1987-1988 and 1995-2005 and again in 2007 til present - for a full-credit Summer courses on European Economic Law and International Contracts and part-time in 1989 and in 1990 for International Contracts; later International Contracts and the Transfer of Intellectual Property Rights and since 2007: International Licensing Agreements. - Visiting Professor at the East China Institute of Politics and Law in Shanghai ( China) from April 30 till June 5, 1986 teaching international contracts and litigation. - Visiting professor at the University of Florida at Gainesville in August/September 1988 and same in August/September 1990 with classes on international trade transactions and litigation. - Lecturer in the Interuniversity Centre of Dubrovnik (former Yugoslavia): March 1987 Programme on International Law of the Sale of Goods and March 1989 Programme on International Payments; and the April 1990 Programme on International Litigation. - Lecturer in the 1990 Dutch Postdoctoral Training Programme in International Law at the T.M.C. Asser Institute, The Hague. - Lecturer at the East China University of Politics and Law, Shanghai, from 15 May until 25 May 1995, with classes on unification of law, international sales law and arbitration. - Lectures at the same Shanghai University, from 21 April till 4 May 1996 on international litigation. - Visiting Foreign Professor in Comparative international trade law at the University of Florida ( Gainesville) from 2 till 22 February 1997. - Lecturer in the Interuniversity Centre of Dubrovnik ( Croatia) on the Law of international sale of goods, from 29 August until 4 September 1998 (6 hours on Remedies in CISG). - Speaker and trainer in the Workshop of WIPO and ITC (WTO/UNCTAD) on Business and Contractual Dimensions on the Acquisition, Transfer and Exploitation of Intellectual Property, held at Cape Town from 8 - 12 May 2000 and again at Doha, Qatar from 19 - 22 November 2000. - Guest lecturer for four hours in the course of Prof. Ron Brand (International Business Transactions) at Pittsburgh University Law School, 22 – 28 September 2005. - Lectures in several Belgian postgraduate courses and colloquia. |
